Kalyana Vathal Kuzhambu Meal kit


  1. Oil
  2. Curry leaves
  3. Paste (salt added)
  4. Mustard seeds
  5. Small Onions
  6. Vathal

Note: Oil provided is suggested for optimal taste. You may alter the amount of oil according to your requirements

Pre-Prep: Wash curry leaves and onions

  1. Heat oil in a pan/kadai on medium heat for 1 minute
  2. Add the vathal. Leave it for 1 minute
  3. Transfer the vathal to a plate and leave it undisturbed.
  4. Add the mustard seeds & curry leaves and leave for 30 seconds.
  5. Add onions. Sauté for 1 minute.
  6. Add the paste and add 1 cup (250 ml) of water. Let it boil on high heat for 2 minutes.
  7. Check the taste and add salt accordingly.
  8. Keep it in low heat. Close the lid and let it cook for 8 minutes.
  9. Open the lid, add the fried vathal and cook for another 2 minutes.
