The healthy one.

Moringa is one of the most nutritionally dense leaves in South Indian cooking — and one of the most underused outside of home kitchens. Most people know moringa as a supplement. This is something different: sun-dried moringa leaves, hand-roasted with dals and spices the same way any other podi is made. The health benefit is there. But it’s also just a good podi.

The tamarind and the roasted dals balance the natural earthiness of the moringa leaf. The result is earthy, flavourful, and noticeably different from any other podi in the range. Mix it with hot rice and ghee, stir a pinch into cold buttermilk, eat it with idli or dosa. It works across everything.

Hand-roasted in 5–7 kg small batches in T.Nagar, Chennai, and shipped within 10 days of roasting.

Shelf life: 7 months from manufacture date.

Storage Instructions: Store in a cool, dry place. Use only a dry spoon. Refrigerate to retain freshness for longer.

1. Does it taste like moringa supplement powder?

No. Supplement powder is raw moringa, which has a strong grassy bitterness. This is moringa leaves hand-roasted with dals, tamarind, and spices — the same process used for every other podi. The roasting and the tamarind balance the natural bitterness. It tastes like a podi that happens to be good for you, not like a health supplement.

2. What’s the actual health benefit?

Moringa leaves are one of the most nutrient-dense leaves in South Indian cooking — naturally high in iron, calcium, and vitamins. We’re not making medical claims, but there’s a reason moringa has been used in South Indian cooking for generations. The benefit is real. The taste is also real, which is rarer.

3. What’s in it — and what’s NOT?

Moringa Leaves, Bengal Gram, Urad Dal, Red Chillies, Turmeric, Jeera, Asafoetida, Dhania, Tamarind & Salt. No preservatives, no anti-caking agents, no MSG, no palm oil, no artificial colours, no flavour enhancers. Nothing we wouldn’t put in our own food.

4. How spicy is it?

Mild. The red chillies give it gentle warmth — not sharp or aggressive. Built for everyday eating.

5. What’s the best way to eat it?

Hot rice, a coin-sized pool of ghee or sesame oil, and Moringa Podi sprinkled generously on top. Mix and eat. Stirring a pinch into cold buttermilk is a good second option — the earthiness of the moringa works well in buttermilk.

6. Can children eat it?

Yes — it’s mild and the moringa nutrition makes it a good everyday podi for children who eat with the family.

7. What’s the shelf life?

7 months from manufacture date, opened or unopened, stored dry. The manufacture date is printed on the pouch.

8. How do I store it after opening?

Transfer to an airtight glass or steel container. Keep dry, away from heat or sunlight. The pouch has a zip lock so a separate container isn’t mandatory. Refrigerating extends freshness further.

9. Is this vegetarian?

Yes. 100% vegetarian.

10. How long does delivery take?

Prepaid orders typically arrive within 48 hours in metros, 3–4 days for tier-2 cities. COD orders take 4–7 business days. We ship within 24 hours of order placement, six days a week.

11. Is COD available?

Yes, across India. There’s a ₹30 COD fee at checkout — skip it by paying via UPI or card. Prepaid usually arrives faster.

12. What if I don’t like it?

Email us at sales@friszon.com or WhatsApp 9500095444 within 7 days of delivery. We’ll refund you — including on opened pouches.
