One masala. Every North Indian dish.
Most home cooks keep six or seven different masala powders for North Indian cooking — separate ones for biryani, paneer, tikka, garam masala for gravies, something else for dry sabzis. Queen Masala replaces that entire shelf. One pouch handles paneer gravy, veg biryani, paneer tikka, mushroom gravy, capsicum masala, and any dry sabzi you’re making for rotis or pulav.
The base is cumin and fennel with coconut, peanut, dry mango, and kasur methi — the combination that gives North Indian cooking its characteristic warmth and depth. The kasur methi and garam masala are already inside. The coconut and peanut give the gravy its body without needing cream. The dry mango gives it a natural sourness that no vinegar or lemon juice replicates.
Hand-roasted in 5–7 kg small batches in T.Nagar, Chennai. A South Indian kitchen’s interpretation of the North Indian masala shelf — made with the same care as every other Friszon product.
Shelf life: 4 months from date of manufacture.
Storage Instructions: Store in an airtight container. Use only a dry spoon. Refrigerate for maximum freshness.

1. What makes this different from regular masala powders?
Most North Indian masala powders are single-purpose — biryani masala for biryani, paneer masala for paneer, tikka masala for tikka. Queen Masala is built to handle all of them. One balanced spice base that works across gravies, biryanis, tikkas, dry sabzis, and marinades. Less shelf clutter, less wastage, more consistent results.
2. Does it work for both gravies and dry dishes?
Yes. For gravies, add with onion-tomato base and water. For dry sabzis and tikka, use in smaller quantities as a finishing masala or marinade base. The quantity you use controls whether the result is saucy or dry.
3. Does it need cream or kasur methi?
No to both. The coconut and peanut provide the creaminess that most North Indian gravies get from added cream. The kasur methi is already inside the masala — you don’t need to add it separately as a garnish. Both are already balanced in the blend.
4. What’s in it — and what’s NOT?
Cumin, Saunf, Coriander, Sesame, Garlic, Coconut, Curry Leaves, Peanuts, Dry Mango, Red Chilli, Garam Masala, Turmeric, Kasur Methi & Salt. No preservatives, no anti-caking agents, no MSG, no palm oil, no artificial colours, no flavour enhancers. Nothing we wouldn’t put in our own food.
5. How spicy is it?
Medium. The red chilli gives it warmth, the garam masala gives it depth, but neither is sharp. The coconut and peanut soften the heat considerably. The overall flavour is aromatic and complex rather than hot.
6. The fat content looks high — is that normal?
Yes — the fat comes from coconut, peanuts, and sesame, all of which are naturally fat-dense. These are the same ingredients that give North Indian gravies their richness when you add cream or coconut milk. No added fats beyond what’s in the whole ingredients.
7. What’s the shelf life?
4 months from manufacturing date. The dry mango and kasur methi are best used fresh for full flavour — this is why the shelf life is shorter than our podis. Manufacture date and best-before date are printed on every pouch.
8. How do I store it after opening?
Transfer to an airtight glass or steel container. Use only a dry spoon. Refrigerate for maximum freshness — strongly recommended given the 4-month shelf life.
9. Is this vegetarian?
Yes. The product itself is 100% vegetarian. It can also be used with chicken and eggs — but there is no non-vegetarian ingredient in the masala.
10. How long does delivery take?
Prepaid orders typically arrive within 48 hours in metros, 3–4 days for tier-2 cities. COD orders take 4–7 business days. We ship within 24 hours of order placement, six days a week.
11. Is COD available?
Yes, across India. There’s a ₹30 COD fee at checkout — skip it by paying via UPI or card. Prepaid usually arrives faster.
12. What if I don’t like it?
Email us at sales@friszon.com or WhatsApp 9500095444 within 7 days of delivery. We’ll refund you — including on opened pouches.
